Loveland is among the top art communities in the United States, and this museum is one reason why. Founded in 1937, the Loveland Gallery Museum is one of only 5% of museums in the country that have been accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum features three art galleries with exhibits that change every 8 to 12 weeks, as well as several permanent history exhibits.

Next venture outdoors again. Loveland has 31 city parks and 28 natural areas where you can enjoy miles of recreational trails for hiking, riding and biking, as well as bird and wildlife watching. The city has also constructed a number of recreation and community centers for all ages.

5. Put Your Fishing Skills to the Test

Summer is the perfect time for fly fishing in Loveland. You’ll find plenty of lakes and still water around the city where the fishing is great. The nearby Big Thompson River, which flows from the Rocky Mountains, also offers fantastic fishing spots.
